Antelope Canyon is one of the most infamous canyons on Lake Powell and is our premier half day tour. Taking in the breathtaking views of this one of a kind place! The areas you'll visit are stunning and this portion of Antelope Canyon has far fewer crowds compared to the Upper Antelope Canyon, where the large groups go. Antelope Lower Canyon still has all the same beauty and slot canyon winds and bends of the upper Antelope Canyon tours but also boasts unique views from the canyon kayaking and hiking. Come with us and see for yourself, Antelope Slot Canyon's hidden gem!

There are three portions of the Antelope Canyon, and this is the only part you can explore by water! After the water ends we will explore some on foot before returning to our kayaks.

Our 4 hour guided hiking and kayak tour starting from Antelope Point Public launch ramp, uses kayaks to cruise under the deep canyon walls of Antelope Canyon to the very end. This portion of the canyon is the lowest and northernmost piece of this magical canyon that is flooded by the waters of Lake Powell which allows us the opportunity to experience its grandeur by kayak.

Expected Distance Paddled and Requirements:

  • The Antelope Slot Canyon Hike usually takes a 1 hour round trip (depending on water level of the lake) and is approximately a total distance of 1 mile (1.6km). The terrain on the hike is a mixture of rock and sand and is very flat. There will be ample opportunities to rest and take photos.
  • The paddling is typically 5 miles(10km) roundtrip, but it depends on the water level of the lake.
  • Wavy conditions can happen on the 2nd half of this tour.
  • While the tour itself is suitable for all levels of physical fitness, access into the lake is somewhat difficult due to the historically low water levels. Those with difficulty decending stairs may need to look into other options.
  • It is required that participants have enough upper body strength to re-enter a capsized kayak with assistance from the tour guide, this is especially important in the spring when the water is cold. The route is along steep canyon walls so getting out of the water on shore is usually very difficult.
